Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars: The Top Fifty Ways To Grow Your Small Business by author, national columnist, marketing expert, media spokesperson, and lecturer Kim T. Gordon draws upon her more than 27 years of experience in helping small-business owners in this informed and informative guide to expanding and profitably enlarging a small business regardless of the product or service to be marketed. Knowledgeably providing readers with an understanding of how to implement powerful marketing plans while staying on budget; identifying the right market niches and conduct customer research; the production of leverage e-mail lists, Web sites, and online PR; reinvention of traditional tactics like magazine, radio, and television advertising; and combinations of sales and marketing techniques for low-cost effective results, Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars is very highly recommended and profitable reading, especially for all small-operation entrepreneurs searching for an expertise-based advisory for successfully running a small business enterprise.

I love this book. I checked it out at the library, but wanted to highlight so many things, I bought it. I keep it close at hand as a great resource for marketing my company. Kim Gordon is a competent, qualified writer, and I plan on reading more of her books!
Review by Stephen Mizner for Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars: The Top 50 Ways to Grow Your Small Business
Rating:
Small business owners have to continually make decisions about things outside our core areas of expertise. If marketing is a little outside your comfort zone, you’ll undoubtedly find this book as useful and practical a guide as I have. Gordon gives you a concise and understandable overview of the full range of contemporary marketing avenues — what they can do for you, when they’re appropriate, what’s involved in making them effective, and more — integrating plenty of best-practices tips and illustrative case histories in each section. It’s news you can really use. I especially found the last part of the book helpful which walks you through the necessary steps to put together a cohesive marketing program that fits your market and your budget.

For many of us, what starts out as a great idea for a product or service ultimately turns into a marketing and sales challenge. When it comes to books on marketing, Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars is one of the best. First, it contains incredibly practical advice that can be put to use right away. This includes strategies that can be applied by every business, small or large, and irrespective of its product or service. Second, the book is written in an approachable manner, one that clearly and concisely conveys a large amount of information. If you’re looking for a practical guide to marketing that will help you to make the most out of your marketing dollars, then this book is highly recommended.

Review by Mike’s Rite for Maximum Marketing, Minimum Dollars: The Top 50 Ways to Grow Your Small Business
Rating:
This book is one of the best marketing books I have ever read.
Kim Gordon writes in a clear and easy to understand style. Instead of inundating the reader with lots of abstract, academic business theory, she instead relates practical, real world marketing information that she herself has already tried and tested. For a relatively slim volume (222 pages including index), this book covers a lot of ground — including writing great sales letters, relationship marketing, and creating press kits. I can’t recommend it highly enough — especially considering the book’s low cost.
