Even if the economy may not be perfectly sound right now, it does not mean that one will have harder ways to find cash. With the mass lay offs and retrenchments happening, the internet is the only place where one can still find numerous opportunities to earn some extra cash.

The internet is still considered a gold mine when it comes to different money making schemes. The advantage with the internet is that one does not have to step out to earn cash.

There are plenty of websites that allow one to make money by taking surveys. Although the pay may not compare to working in a full time job, it is enough to make a person earn some extra cash to be kept in hand especially now when money is extremely tight.

A month of doing online surveys usually pay $50 to $100 excluding freebies.

A person increases his chances of taking more surveys by registering in a number of survey sites rather than subscribing to just one.

You will have to include your personal and demographic information when taking a survey so that the company knows for which survey you are eligible to take or not.

After doing so, you will be selected as a panel member. When you do so, you will be invited to take a short survey which will allow the company to know if you are what they need to take the real survey.

Once you pass this stage, you will be able to take the lengthier survey and be able to claim your compensation after completion.

The pay differs according to the company that commissions the survey. Some will pay from a dollar to $20 while others would hold a raffle among all those who took the survey with a prize in the end.

Others will include your name in a raffle and you get to win something. A few other companies opt to send products in exchange for the survey.

Surveys are effective tools that are used by various companies as a business strategy.

Either they want to specify a target market or gauge the level of acceptability of a product, surveys are statistical tools that will help them reach those goals.
