I know it’s the second post I have made today informing you of a new site launch. I admit this one is from the same company as the first post.

This site is based on the award winning open source software “Elgg”, and this site is pure social media more in the realms of a mini “Facebook”, photo albums and all!

Unlike Facebook’s 500 million subscribers this one one had only a couple of subscribers (one of which is me “gerpil” and I set up a group “megamentor”) when I last checked, well it is only 12 hours old!

The administrator is a personal friend of mine and has worked very hard on setting this little baby up.

Again it costs nothing to sign up, I am sure if enough people visit there and join it will become a useful place to network and meet like minded people.

I have just come accross a brand new site called GeDesPi.net it launched only 24 hours ago and it’s based on the open source  Pligg CMS content management system Social Media (like Digg).

You can post your daily marketing news and online business activity interests, your source for social news and networking. Although I have been warned that it has very strict anti-spamming controls in place. Costs nothing to join and I am sure if enough people visit there and join it will become a useful resource.
