Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his birthday tomorrow on November 2. However, this year will be a celebration unlike any other. Given what the family has gone through, the mood at Mannat is still sombre. Aryan Khan’s release has definitely given Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan a reason to celebrate. The lights going up at Mannat were a sign that the family welcomed the positive news with open arms – perhaps SRK style.
Now, SRK’s birthday plans were put on hold given how things have been in the last few weeks. We know how Gauri’s 51st birthday on October 8 looked like. However, a friend close to the family reveals that Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri, along with Aryan and AbRam, are contemplating a quiet birthday bash at their Alibaug bungalow. It isn’t clear yet if SRK will indeed go ahead with the Alibaug plan or opt for a quiet at-home celebration at Mannat, his Bandra house.
The family friend also reveals that the decision will be made keeping in mind the travel required to reach Alibaug. “To reach Alibaug, the family has to take a jetty from Colaba, Mumbai, and that would mean being chased by the paparazzi. SRK is not too keen on putting Aryan through the ordeal, and perhaps they might opt for a quiet celebration at home instead,” they said.
Fans are expected to queue up outside Mannat to wish their favourite actor. It has been an annual tradition for SRK to step up on the parapet of Mannat and wave and blow kisses to fans who travel from all across the country to wish him a happy birthday on November 2. The insider adds, “SRK is definitely in a good mood now that Aryan is out and back home, and has been busy answering calls and replying to messages sent by his peers on Aryan’s release. However, he’s also requested his friends to avoid visiting Mannat to give Aryan time to settle down.”
